When Time Warner Communications bought out half a dozen Tampa Bay cable television competitors, they were left with two advertising choices – either adapt Time Warner’s national campaign or do something else.
We did something else.
The national campaign talked about cable television in general terms. Tampa Bay’s Time Warner campaign offered customers a close-up preview of a new world of wonder… coming right to their living room television. Exciting glimpses into the immediate future, interspersed with dramatic Tampa Bay visuals and a flying Disney-animated Time Warner icon.
The signature line: “It’s not just cable anymore”.
The promotional campaign that rolled out of this new branding included multiple print, television and radio ads (one of which garnered a national Silver Mic award for Best Media Promotion).
